This is some scary stuff and a great reason to always lock your doors with a padlock and or check the seal everytime you do a walk around after stopping.
I believe it .I remeber 1 time i had a dry van trailer and had one of my buddies i was running with . another flatbedder with my,company, we both picked up some empty dry vans to take down for a drop and hook account in south texas .we stopped at a rest area and i put a padlock on mine and he laughed and say "why u locking up an empty trailer?" i say " we in south texas boss they dont f around down here. U leave that thing unlocked they will load up faster than u can take a #### and wash ur hands. Next thing u know u getting put in handcuffs at the checkpoint." he looked at me like i was crazy lol then i gave him a spare lock so he could lock his up, told him u dont want to find out how fast they can load up, better lock that sucker up lol
Always lock ur trailer everytime no matter if its empty or loaded. Thankfully i pull a flat so i dont got to do that stuff , but everyonce in awhile ill pick up a van and i always get in the habit of,
locking her up tight
