Oh man, you didn't want to stick around for the mirrorless trucks and the rollout of the awesome Samsara camera and ELD technology lol.

Lol no thanks. Although my company uses Samsara for eld and camera, the eld system works multitudes better than vnomics did and my new company didn’t use the AI feature that Samsara offered.

I am looking foward to the ELD, I am at my wits end with vnomics, I can't think of a worse system than vnomics that I have ever worked with, as far as the cameras go, I guess that's all still speculation, but knowing Saia I would be willing to wager that they will choose to use the AI feature.

I'd practically guarantee that they buy the AI feature. One thing I love about the ELD aspect though, I downloaded the Samara app to my phone, and I'm able to change duty statuses, log pre/post trip information and add/edit shipping documents through the phone instead of using the tablet. Very convenient as opposed to loading over to the tablet.

With that all said, congrats on the new gig, hope you found a good fit for you, I decided that I will hang out and see what happens with this latest Samsara madness.

Thank you. In many ways I think it'll be the status quo moving over from Lytx, those who are habitual video stars will likely continue to be such. If Saia gets the AI feature, I suspect the company will come down on drivers that the system identifies as "fatigued" a lot heavier and there will be more people dealing with sleep apnea tests.

Oh that's cool, I am liking that idea already, I am trying to figure out if this is going to be a as new equipment comes in they will switch to Samsara, or are they going to go through the whole fleet and switch over type rollout.

Yeah that will be me, I am not a habitual video star, but I have voiced my discontent on more than one occasion to everyone and their brother here, on how stupid my run is and how tired I am because of it, if anything maybe Samsara will prove the point, I don't know.

One thing is for certain, you won't have an issue with pre/post trips not submitting to the system like vnomics. Or was I the only one with a terminal manager at Saia that told us if the pre/post didn't show in the vnomics history after the third time of doing the work that we had to call tech support for it, because he was going to start documenting missed "inspections" and begin to write up drivers for it? I guess there was a report that went out daily or weekly that showed missed inspections.

"I can put in for delay time on that right?"
"No, it's built in to your mileage."

    Yeah, ok pal.

My assigned tractor went to the shop last week for a torched flasher relay and turn signal assembly in the steering column. My truck is a leased truck, which means the company mechanics can't touch it. I burned 4 hours at one of Ryder's shops last week waiting for them to try to figure how to fix it, even after multiple times I told them it's a relay and switch issue, NOT a fuse issue.

I eventually said fornicate it, and finished my load for the day with no turn signals (which was unnerving because I felt like a n00b that people were yelling things like "Nice turn signal" on the radio to me). When I got back they put me in a glorious KW T800 15 speed with a monster Cat engine in it. Man that truck pulled like nothing I've ever been in.

My dispatcher texted me this evening to tell me that my truck was back and to go back into it tomorrow. Total bummer. I really liked that KW.
