How did your 359 project turn out? My 359 has a 36” bunk. I put 2 pieces of aluminum tubing from the rear of the bunk to the front of the cab and attached it various places to the cab/sleeper crossmembers then I mounted an air ride kit at the back of the sleeper. So I somewhat have a Unibilt design but still have the small hole. I’m 6’ 3” so would like to make a larger hole so I can move my seat back farther!! My question is, Does someone know if I can mount the modern Unibilt brackets onto my cab or do I need to add extra pieces internal structurally. (My aluminum tubing has been in for 7 years now but they are bending slightly.)

Just came across this. I have my unibilt rings installed on my 1990 379, trying to figure out how to relocate my seat belt brackets. Do I need new ones or can I reuse my old ones and if so where is the best place to put them?

    260REM Thanks this.
