Then you deliver from the west side of Atlanta to the east side and find out you have to take the 285 38 miles around because it's not an inner city drop... and you're paid for 6 miles, plus $20 shag run.

Or you get a split load in Indy which arrived three days ago to deliver within Indy and guess who gets to take it 0 paid miles into town? You, for $20 shag.

I don't know a thing about Cargo Transporters - so their likely to be better then the rest.

All the megas are different shades of the same turd.

    So true.

If someone is willing to pay for the schooling don't hold that against them; all the mega training companies have 100% turnover. That is 100% of their new drivers are out the door before a year is up weather schooling is paid for or not. Just something to keep in mind.

Possible, but for a new driver North East is probably the worst place to be.

This stuff means nothing. You need a job that will pay the bills; nothing more. You can buy your own crap with a good job.

    Thats good then.

Why? Do you think you make more money as an 0/0? Better check again before you even consider that leap.

A good way to practice and see if you like trucking is to rent a box truck. And since you live in North Carolina, take that rented truck up to Durham. There is a road there that goes under a railroad bridge. Get the rental up to speed and drive under the bridge as fast as you can go. Once you get to the other side, you are ready for CDL school.

Cargo Transporters is extremely heavy on the micromanaging. Driver facing cameras, yell at you for doing the slightest thing wrong etc.. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ters-claremont-nc.244549/page-93#post-5634494

I used to work for Schneider, they are okay, but you will absolutely be running the east coast even if "regional". Lots of customers in NJ/NY/PA/New England area. If this is a deal breaker for you, I suggest crossing them off your list lol
