Or you get a split load in Indy which arrived three days ago to deliver within Indy and guess who gets to take it 0 paid miles into town? You, for $20 shag.

If someone is willing to pay for the schooling don't hold that against them; all the mega training companies have 100% turnover. That is 100% of their new drivers are out the door before a year is up weather schooling is paid for or not. Just something to keep in mind.

Possible, but for a new driver North East is probably the worst place to be.

This stuff means nothing. You need a job that will pay the bills; nothing more. You can buy your own crap with a good job.

A good way to practice and see if you like trucking is to rent a box truck. And since you live in North Carolina, take that rented truck up to Durham. There is a road there that goes under a railroad bridge. Get the rental up to speed and drive under the bridge as fast as you can go. Once you get to the other side, you are ready for CDL school.

I used to work for Schneider, they are okay, but you will absolutely be running the east coast even if "regional". Lots of customers in NJ/NY/PA/New England area. If this is a deal breaker for you, I suggest crossing them off your list lol
