without any major breakdowns you can do it off 10k to start.(after plates and permits ect are paid) that's around what i had and no quick pay options. i was sweating bullets and a few sleepless nights and some pb&j and i had a few repairs in my first month. with some quick pays you should be just fine. if you can quick pay a load or two a week you should be just fine.

My sweating over repairs is pretty much over. Why I leased on with a company starting out. They will and have put $ on my com card for repairs I couldn't cover. No loan tho, every penny was repaid out of the next settlement. I now have a good "home" shop and have a better idea of what repairs are a must do bad what can wait till I get home. Income stability is probably my biggest "fear".

Dear Everyone. I have driven the worst things on the planet. Also the best. People go to work to make a paycheck. I'm different. I have not been down every road yet so I go on. A frame of mind. A part of your soul. A bank account is a thing I have. Life is paused then I pull the red & yellow knobs. I'm just another person. When I pull it out on the Interstate, feel the power of the home I know, I smile, Someone will get something they need & I made it happen. Office people can't ever say that.

LS recruiting is a joke, but they got great freight. I made around 3.5o - 3/mile on most loads. I got one load for over 5 /mile on a 2500 mile run lol. I would still be with them if i didnt ge canned for a speeding ticket. Why delay 3 weeks and deal with their bS? Becuase of you do you will make a lot more then 1.3/mile.

as long as my truck rolls. i'll wait till i get home for repairs. the bigger problem is actually finding a load home.

This is a ''GOOD'' point...This may be the reason i myself put up with all this B/S over here at Landstar...They just have some dammed good paying loads...I worked 14 hours the other day and brought 1650.00 home after ALL DEDUCTIONS to the dinner table...

LS is pretty liberal with fronting you cash if you need it. Not that I ever need it.
