Making the switch to step deck

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I’ve been running OTR for about 6 1/2 years now, the first two as a lease operator pulling a reefer and the last 4 1/2 as an O/O with a logistics van. I’ve been thinking about making the switch to platform freight for awhile now and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy a 51’ step deck.

Over the last month or so I’ve been Googling a lot of questions I have and nearly every time a thread from TTR shows up in the search results. After reading a lot of good advice and some pretty entertaining feuds I decided to sign up and take full advantage of the forum.

Thanks in advance for answering all the amateur questions I’m sure I’ll be posting as I learn a whole new way of trucking.

 

Too late, I already bought a Fontaine 51’ sliding axle. 10’ top, 41’ bottom with container locks.
