I put in a year as a trainer with Swift. Trainees got in my truck with a wide range of luggage. Most did it right, a couple of duffle bags. I left plenty of storage space open for them to get squared away.

One got in my truck with no sleeping bag. "I never thought of that!" I bought him a sleeping bag.

Another one stands out. He brought, and I #### you not, a complete matching seven piece set of Gucci luggage AND a closet full of silk shirts and pants. He spent the first hour in the truck frantically searching for the right expensive leather sandles (he brought seven pair in various colors) to match the pants he wanted to wear before he could go shower with the huge rolling duffle.

Word to the wise for trainees. Don't bring rolling luggage of any kind. It's hard to stow. Be prepared for minimal storage. Be prepared to take a bus with all your stuff, you never know if you need to get out of the truck and get home or get to another truck.

I would agree with this. But much of this industry has gone to autos. We’re still seeing it.

I drove one for 4 straight months. No relief. However, I have found a video that provides relief. It works a specific muscle that weakens from sitting for extended periods.

I get injections in both knees(in fact I'm in the doc's writing this)and I take Gabapentin for neuropathy. 35 yrs of hard driving haven't been good to me.Mostly flatbedding and lumping.I don't recommend jumping down, always climb down.Backing into tight holes doesn't help much either, wish they came out with autos 20yrs ago.Gotta go,if you have a link for that video,I'd appreciate it.Thanks.

An easy request. I saved this one because I’m always sharing with family. It can get boring. But, Pay close attention to the segment where he talks about immediate (almost) relief. That part works really well for me.

6'6" 200. Use bags as a pillow, that's about all you can do.

I didn't watch the video yet, my back is already fixed.I've had 2 failed back surgeries, discs removed and fused at L4-L5 and L5-S1(S1 is the pelvis). The 1st surgery doc didn't put large enough hardware(he never told me he had never operated on anyone over 100lbs)L4 moved, pinched my spine, reason for 2nd surgery.Cause of neuropathy. That was 12yrs ago. Now,I lost 75lbs,toned out my body, best shape in 30yrs ready to go back to work.Still suffer from chronic pain, but I've learned how to live with it.Now I'm going to watch the video and see if it will help.Thank You very much.
