I leased one for a bit from the company I am leased to, it was brand new and junk. It had a ton of flex in it and it broke down way too much for a new trailer. Electrical and air problems. The guy that purchases trailers for our company said they had some older units that were built in Canada that were good trailers but the new ones were built in the US. They said they will not be buying any more of them.

That’s good to know! Thanks for the reply.

All we have is Manac flatbed and step decks aside from the older Nabors and Transcrafts still in the fleet. New and old. The flats are all aluminum or galvanized depending on the application and the steps are also a mixture. I have not encountered any of the problems stated above.

For what it's worth most of our stretch flats are manacs. 53/90' trailers and they pull dead straight. I haven't had any issues with them. Just got a 3 year old trailer dot'ed and it took litterly 10 minutes it was that clean and dry underneath.

My last company had a few and I never had a single complaint when pulling a load with one. Empty, on the other had, well let's just say when dispatch said to bounce over to pick up a load, that's exactly what it did. Far worse than any other model I ever pulled and we had a wide variety of manufacturers.

If it's spec'd right it'll be ok. Never be great but ok. If you are going to do heavy coils or dies or rear unload dock work make sure you get it from someone who knows how how to spec a trailer for that kind of work.
Traveling Jones Thanks this.
