Seriously? Thr shift to autos (pun unintended but I'm delighted it happened) didn't happen until 2013 with the whole fleet transitioned by end of year 2017. Freightliner couldn't deliver, and profit marigins slowed new vehicle purchases but several divisions are ATM only, and just try and find a manual dating from model year 2015 and later.

Of the 30 road trainers in the GB divison there are 4 still in manual transmission trucks.

I was one of the Guinea pigs for autos in 2012 at sni and the only thing i did not like about them was hooking up to a trailor. You would has to give it a good amount of acceleration if the box was loaded and i was always paranoid that if my 5th wheel wasnt lined up i would ram the trailer with the back of my cab. With manuals its much smoother. Is this more improved with the newer autos?

Not talking about a shift, talking about Schneider recruiters saying the fleet would be 100% by the end of the year since 2009.

Lol I'm in a '15 Shaker with a manual. And there isn't a 100% Auto fleet if it didn't happen yet (end of 2017 has passed)
Just a quick note, you lost me ~agreeing or disagreeing on fleet at 100%?
Because if there's trainers in GB and Charlotte TEs with manuals and manual trucks throughout the fleet (kept for 3+ years) then we're still 3+years away from 100% right?

Well, one, GOAL the line-up on that King Pin. Two, I've never watched an ATM not slam into a trailer.

    With you on that paranoia.
I can't run over trash bags in the road for fear of roadside bombs. And PTSD

No, i forsee many damaged kindpins from slamming into them at 50 mph.

The original plan was to have everything switched by end of year 2017, but Freightliner couldn't deliver and SNI also slowed down new truck purchases in 2015/16, thus delaying the total transition.

Dont know which recruiter you talked to in 2009, but mine in 2010 said while there was a chance of getting an auto, it ranked up there with being named pope. 2012 was the beginning of the test phase, decision wasn't made to make a 100% switch until at least 2013 or latter.
