Driving a truck there looks way harder, I'd always figured you guys laughed at our trucks. I'd want a ton of experience before I ever tried that.

Do we laugh yes. Are they simple to drive?......

Anyone who thinks that ANY truck is simple to drive is a moron....

Nah I don't mean thinking they were simple. It just seems like it would be a cakewalk here compared to there.

Like you might be stuck for a week or more there where here you just sit for a day, stuff like that. There are very few places here where you'd be as isolated as you would be there.

I've had runs that has taken me 6 weeks to get out. As when i was in a cyclone hit and roads were to wet (yes dirt roads) had to wait for them to drive. Easier to be stuck on a station with food and water and people, than in middle of nowhere with little food and water and no phone reception lol

There are places that you can drive for a day or two without seeing anyone. Let alone a house or a gas station LOL
Oh and gas stations in middle of nowhere. You will pay $3 or $4 per LITRE. That's $12-$16 per gallon!

Yep that's what I meant haha. I've driven plenty of dirt roads and sand but there is always someone near by to help if you're stuck (deliverys to mines and logging companies) but not for thousands of miles, #### that would be an experience though. If I ever get bored here after 20 years I know where I'll go...

My dad used to work on trucks in Australia. He was saying you guys had a couple thousand gallons of fuel on board so you could try and avoid fueling at that price.

Question from the peanut gallery. @Fold_Moiler you said you pull a smooth bore to logging and mines. What type of product do you haul?

DEF, basically every piece of machinery takes it now but skid steers. So those huge dump trucks and front end loaders in mines all take it and they go through a ton of it.

Only reason it's smooth bore is because they bought an old milk trailer and threw a def pump on it for the cheap. Anything that touches def has to be stainless or plastic or it will corrode. So a used food grade tanker it was...

Yer usually 6-700 gallons on the truck and a tank on one of the trailers that pumps upto the main tanks.
