Map-21 is over 10 years old. It's all in the regs now, under 395.1, unless a state has their own Intrastate exemptions.

Ok so it'll be in an up to date green book then?
-
Just go on-line to FMCSA, regulations and interpretations.
-
Ok thx for the help.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to interpret. It’s pretty cut and dry. If you’re loading an exempt commodity you’re exempt from the HOS regs within a 150 mile radius of the load origin.
-
Think maybe he's trying to find something that fits what he wants. It's pretty clear on what/when can be used.
-
I was reading the stuff an it was just confusing me some. Wasn't trying to be difficult, was seriously not understanding something correctly. As i said what i read made it seem like the origin an destination had to both be within the 150 miles.
-
No that's not the case. I was misunderstanding what i was reading an simply needed help in the matter. Had not seen the interpretation an regulations that you pointed out yet.
-
Oh. I misunderstood you. When you said destination I thought you meant when they came out a while back and gave livestock haulers the 150 on the unload end too.
Basically you don’t run a log in the 150 mile radius of the origin. When you’re going in empty you can stop your log at the edge of the radius, if you’re unloading your previous load and it’s in the radius of your loading point then you can be off duty as soon as you’re unloaded. You don’t have to start your log until you hit the edge of that radius on the way out loaded.Accidental Trucker and wis bang Thank this. -
But, again it only applies to the state defined “planting and harvest season”. That one can be hard to find. FMCSA now has a published list at https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/sites/fmcsa.dot.gov/files/2021-03/final-ag-table03262021-002.pdf
@Long FLD , do you happen to know if this applies to livestock as well? Or is the 150 mile livestock rule year round?
