Haha noooo. It hasn't happend to me yet. Has happend to a good friend though. Got some bad local info on the CB and ended up on a restricted rural road. Corners that you couldn't even begin to make with a 25' trailer much less a 48' skateboard. He had to back (with the help of local police) a little over 3 miles to get out. I have a Tom Tom 510 as well. Has worked extremely well for me. Just watch it if you go off course... it will try to get you to go down roads that don't exist and tell you to make right and left turns on bridges.

What would be a good GPS to get? I have use my laptop durring some city driving. I was a chaffer (I can't spell to well) when the Super Bowl was in Detorit, The only problem was I was inexperienced with it and didn't allways get a good singnal.

I actually have 2, but one I use. I have a Garmin IqueM3 that I bought when I started again. Used it but ended up sending it in to be repaired. During that time I bought a TomTom 510. I liked it but wasn't to happy with it. I ended up returning it and bought a Garmin Nuvi350. I was happy with that for the most part, and used it until I got my M3 back. Once the M3 came back and I got the map updates so it woul dbe the same as the Nuvi I switched back to that. I like Garmins interface better, and there is an option to route specifically for trucks. That was one of the drawback to the TomTom. Other then that the TomTom was a good unit, just wasn't what I was looking for.

    kd7ctv,

Is that truck route option on the C330 as well?

Yes, all Garmins should have that option.

:biggrin_2556:leannamarie, Thanks for responding, I down loaded the owners manual off Garmon's website, but I dont see anything except, something called "Avoidance". I don't plan to lean too heavy on GPS, but it sure would be nice in the dark at those rural roads or poorly lit industrial parks.

The truck option should be on one of the main setup screens. You can also avoid u-turns, toll roads, and other stuff too.
