The drives on this truck are dated 2005, and still have about 1/2 tread left. I've nursed them along for almost 100K since I got in the truck, and this is the first one that's given me a problem. I'm a stickler for tire pressures, and take great care to avoid running over objects that could damage them (storm drains, high rails, curbs, pavement edges, etc).

Not sure how many miles are on these recaps because I just got this kw about 2 months ago and they were already on here so ill guess we will see how they handle the hot weather we have coming soon! That is lucky though your tire popping at the shop lol no roadside bill for that one huh haha

I always tell my wife to avoid bungees in the road because the hooks can go through her car tires and she hit one about a month ago and it sure enough did, had to go change it for her because she couldn't get it off the car lol I always avoid those, dunno if they'd make it through a truck tire or not but I ain't trying to find out haha

How would you calculate mpg, pump to pump, and NOT include idle time? Is there something about miles driven divided by gallons at the pump that I am missing here?

    mslashbar Thanks this.

Miles divided Gallons. You top out everytime if ypu are just starting to learn to track mpg. Idling uses abou 1 gallon per hour. Record and track every tank. Then you can start making changes and see the results over 30, 60, 90 ........Day intervals

If I were to track MPG without including idle time, I'd subtract 1gph of idle time. I did a 12 hour idle test and consumed roughly 12 gallons.

Yes, it cost $48.00. A lot of money over a year. Sometimes a motel is cheaper. Breakfast, faxes, shower and other amenities.
