    Sure you can.

    Both impair judgement and reflexes.

Are you seriously looking for alternatives or cheer leaders and advocates? Seems to me you have more of an agenda than a goal.

true, but not *equally* on everyone in the same way all the time, not even close

because we are all made of different stuff and we are all facing different variables that affect us in different ways

there is no way to quantify that so you can make a general rule that applies to everyone fairly or write rule that will predict behavior or even make sense of it

example: some folks can drink like a fish and then drive very well, some folks cannot ever handle their liquor at all

i was in the military as well, this does not apply there for many reasons, they have their own particular way of training people and punishing the entire class for the acts of one fool as part of building cohesion and team work

can't do that in civilian life, it won't work because we are all selfish mutts with free will and civil rights

Fact. They both IMPAIR motor skills. How much is not the point.

As long as it's on a mattel big wheel, no argument from me. However, that type of logic is what gets innocent people on the roads and highways killed.

My comment was not directed to you, but the OP.

And a "Thank You" for your service to this country.

    DoneYourWay Thanks this.

Here we'll have to agree to disagree. Having been a LEO for a good many years and have seen and heard it all when it comes to a suspect DWI/DUI, not to mention the carnage and aftermath of too many accidents and those with fatalities and life altering injuries, this applies even more so.

With regards to my comment of "How much" , even a little is too much. That was my point. In this profession or whenever someone is behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
