It's not misleading, they used the term "marijuana use disorder" in the title and in the body of the article. And it's not clickbait, the title accurately described the content of the article.

I'm currently on doctor prescribed morphine, trust me morphine is better. They are talking about trying me on fentanyl. Doing non-driving work till I'm done with all this of course.

Pot is highly addictive for some just like some people get addicted to video games or gambling and other things that aren't necessarily chemically addictive. The big difference is pot can have a harmful affect like is shown in the study.

I don’t think they have any idea. Just grasping at straws. The medical field always seems to have an epidemic right about the time a new drug for treatment is available. For instance in the 90’s everyone suddenly had OCD. Mentally ill people use drugs and alcohol to self medicate. Drugs and alcohol abuse cause symptoms that mimic mental illnesses. Which came first? They never know, and there’s no way to tell. They just keep expanding the available clientele to market their drugs to. Schizophrenia is a very serious horrible organic brain disease without a cure. Marijuana doesn’t cause it any more than caffeine does. I see a new drug for treatment on the horizon. The real drug pushers are still at it. The Oxy scandal is over. Move on. I don’t trust any of it. Always changing. Go to a Psychiatrist. I guarantee you’ll be diagnosed and prescribed something. I guarantee. Just mention to a General Practitioner you feel a bit down. They’ll prescribe anti depressants, maybe even anti anxiety meds. They have no training on identifying any disorders, yet hand this crap out like crazy. It’s messed up.

Right! I wondered after reading your post if you have personal experience with the V.A.?

Not really. Plenty of trips with my Dad as a kid. He was DAV. He always took a bag of books to leave with the resident patients. Last time he got real sick he insisted on the VA. Hang out with his Buddies and smoke cigarettes. The Dr. called me, said they were all crazy. Lol.

You're painting with too broad a brush. Most GPs that I know...and I know quite a few...aren't pill pushers. They'll look for causes before they start shotgunning meds. Let's not hang the entire GP family because of a few bad ones.

Is the VA better than it was twenty or thirty years ago? I hear it is. But, then again, it would almost have to be. My personal experience with them was enough to give them a good leaving alone but if they've cleaned up their act it might be time for a second look.

First sign is when they start to get paranoid. I don't know many who have used for a long time that are right in the head even when they claim not to be high.

I don’t think they should be writing scripts for mental conditions. They should refer patients to a Psychiatrist for proper diagnosis.

Depends on the location. Even though, they go thru docs like cr e goes thru drivers. They seem to push trans gender issues more than what a vet is trying to see treatment for. My experience is of your in a lower vet populated area treatment seems better than if your going to Fayetteville. Also if the clinic or hospital is in the ghetto, much of the staff that live I. That area seem to treat patients very bad. I seen WWII vets get humiliated and screamed at by staff in Orange, NJ.
