    in other words I have no problem with my receive on any of my radios.... all 5 radios that your buddy crap tune worked on seem to have all these receive Issues.... but then he jacks up hacks up people's radios charges them way way too much $$$$$ and you have to pay $50 to ship it to him and another $50 to get a jacked up messed up radio yours back from him.. that's such a good deal drivers can't wait to do... like I said he hides in a camper does facebook to do business.... no one else does that and mail order nonsense.... he's not good enough even to even be a certified galaxy/Stryker/ranger repair man or repair center that does do mail order....

    here is my ant mount idea..If its no go so be it..Just thinkin on how to make it all work..
    Green = antenna
    Grey = outback arm
    Purple are the verticals attached to plastic flairing brackets
    Red = the points where cross members will join on the flairing verticals for flairing stability and more rf metal for ant..
    White circle= is where the x will be bolted together and could be uses as a place for bond straps..Or use any place along the x to bond to cab wall...

    Just an idea..Sorrt im not a very good artist as ya all can see...lol Cascadia-Cab 2.jpg

    When I first got into CB's in the the 1980 or so, I was told if you run duals, that they are suppose to be 8' apart for them to work correctly. I ran the K40 fiberglass with the plastic slider tune toward the top to calibrate the swr, I also ran the fire stick with the screw on the top to also adjust the swr, then I ran the audio kings with the coil with the see thru glass/plastic, all 3 sets of of antennas I can never get it right with the swr's. I finally went to a single antenna with one 18' quality coax and the Wilson 2000 when they first came out. It has been the best single antenna set up I ever had in all my years in trucking. Just recently switch the short 4 inch shaft the 18" shaft and had them reset the swr's and I gained more. Like said in other threads, I'm a very happy camper with my set up. The recieve upgrade that Ron Damron added to it drop the ground noise so low, that I probably could signals from mars. It's probably the same deal hardrive does, just that I don't have to pay $100.00 to ship and returned. But in my personel experience, running single has work for me.

    Do you have any names of individuals that have problems with their receive on their radios? Perhaps are you including EvvyThomas in your List?

    It's not a question of Defending Mark it's a question of giving you a reality check that 15 to 20 miles isn't very impressive. I talked 75 miles with a Radio Shack walkie talkie from the top of Mount Wilson powered by a car battery off a Shakespeare big stick antenna..
    I don't understand what's so impressive about 15 to 20 miles. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to why that's such a major accomplishment

    Unless Mark is going to do the install himself and guarantee the results or babysit you and hold your hand and guide you through the entire process from start to finish and then guarantee the results you can pretty much disregard anything he told you and I'm perfectly willing to guide you through the process and guarantee the results.

    So basically receive is 100% dependent on antenna efficiency and has nothing to do with modifying radios receive section or lowering noise floor, at least that is what I am understanding from your responses.

    Is this post indeed a confirmation that Evvy was less than satisfied with the outcome of his tune?

    Quite frankly I dont concern myself with Evvy or others who are or are not satisfied with their fine tune or work from any other shop, except for the fact that it tells me who to avoid, I just find it shameless and pathetic that this forum has turned into a cheap promotion and advertisment for Fine Tune and you Rabbi go to great lengths defending his work when you obviously have other valuable information , from your own experiences, that you could share and others could learn from. I for one, cant speak for other members, have grown quite tired of almost every thread on this forum, despite the original subject matter, at some point being highjacked and turned into a Fine Tune promotion. There is enough information already posted about Harddrive that if any members want to obtain his services they can go to his facebook, so is it necessary that we debate his quality of work every day. I guess if Darthanbus were still around he could tell me I am unhinged and agitated again.

    Did the walkie talkie have the noise floor lowered by Mark?
