Well, you still bought a Stryker 955 twice. You must really like the radio and that's good. Sound like I picked a great radio.

You'll likely get yours before I get mine. Can you do this when you get it and post the results here please?

Flip the switch to the right to VFO, and turn the dial from 24.000, straight to 30.000. If it'll do it. I'm hoping it will as the manual states. Mark says it won't, the manual says it will. RP said it wouldn't in another thread until we posted that Stryker says that's what the function of the switch is for. I think I saw cbradiomagizine dial it from one end to the other. But I don't know if his conversion is different from Mark's?

I bought a 955 not long ago and i haven't use it, but i also had one of the first 440 and that radio had a beautiful audio and excellent receive at that time.

I don't know why the 955 would be that much different....time will tell.

 

Well I, for one, can't wait to get my garbage back.

 

Some of us should try dx'ing one another on a channel we can agree upon?

At least drop you call ID so we'd recognize you? See what a Shurman- to Shurman- connection sounds like.

 

Hell last night on my non sherman i was able to go from truro novascotia to mid florida and got told i sounded like a local..Talkin to some fella briefly called ole ww..So many were chattin on same channel 2 26.975 MHz that it was difficult to pick up what any one person was sayin..
Did pick up some on 27.025 MHz down new orleans way but they couldnt hear me...Some butt wad was splattering over a wack of channels like he was almost yelling in his mic and said bye bye bye everytime he signed off...

 

Darth yeap ill see if it can do that on marks..Ill go out on mine now and see if it will..Yes i freakin love the radio..

 

#### that was a wrist twister..Im sure it didnt help the dial parts but my current one hit 30,1050 then back to 240000
