Rabbi what i ment was to send both amp and radio for mark to do his magic or let him just do the magic on the radio and sell my amp and just run the radio... Dont know what would be more efficient and i have seen folks say the radio is to much for the amp.Not sure what would be better..
Let's say you have a dual final radio with 2sc1969 transistors and you have a class C amplifier with two 2SC 2879 transistors. How do you propose to make the waveform look nice coming out of the Class C amplifier? If it looks perfect coming out of the radio it will be distorted coming out of the amplifier so you need to make adjustments to the output waveform of the radio to make it look pretty coming out of the amplifier
Ridgeline maybe the term "match" a radio with amp.. I have no clue and thats what techs are supposed to know..I just do the 10-4,come back, whats the scales up the road doin parts..lol
I guess many ham guys assume everything is a perfect 50 ohms and class A/B. Maybe in a perfect world but we don't live in a perfect world where everything is plug-and-play
