well we all have a agenda with what we are trying to do with our equipment. the bottom stud I have I don't know if it's a pro comm or not is massive it took me to long to find it... the idea and pic you showed came from you ...

 

I have absolutely no reason to lie about anything in this world... I can only get useful info.from certain people on this forum... if I couldn't get that I would not bother.... I sleep just fine at night when I pass out. which is what I do... my conscious is totally clear/clean... two sides to every story I know that....but getting all the right info or idea your getting from someone isn't easy the way the posts are written and trying to follow something.....and hope you don't miss something you needed to hear to understand it !!!!

 

I agree I do have an agenda. My agenda is to help you talk and hear as far as possible so that one day I might bump into you on the interstate and maintain a two-way conversation with you for 2 hours while I'm parked on the side of the road as you drive down the highway demonstrating what the possibilities are and forcing other people to recognize what those possibilities are so that they will accept nothing less.

 

that's too funny I didn't beg him to take my radio he says I'm mail order only. I said I'm not doing that I'm here now. either you can come get it or I'll be on my way. he came and got it...

 

whoa there chuckles no such thing as a cb radio God. and I don't and I never have kissed anyone's ### not in this world. not much of a personality coming outta Chris holland. he's a magnum repair tech. I own a magnum radio. that's mainly all he's good for to me...

 

let's set this straight it didn't matter how long mark worked on that 98v.he was paid for it...and paid very well.aside from the fact that the screw was stripped and the wire was under the faceplate I sold the radio to a cb shop who put it on the bench and saw it worked just fine....or he certainly would not have made a offer to buy it... I sold because I saw no need to keep it. I have 4 radio's or had and I knew that radio would sit on the shelf all the time in my truck....it would be the last radio I'd run or my fourth option I prefer my other radios over it my choice... the other reason was space my trk is literally loaded full.. since my mother passed away I'm basically living in that trk... still by my choice I do have other options.... that amp I have is huge.it and the big kinetik battery take up a crap load of space in my trk. the amp is disconnected and in the bottom floor shelf on the passenger side.... all my radios make a lot of power even with the amp connected to the radio I didn't run that amp all the time... I'm thinking of selling that amp in the next couple of days and buying a smaller 8 pill or maybe not buying another amp at all !!!!

 

I hear 10/15 miles as is depending on certain factors... my radios run enough juice that I get out to talk that far.. sorry but if your radio cannot talk get out get over certain obstacles other radios white noise cell tower crap.how are you going to hear that person back who is 10/15 miles away... a 40/50 watt radio or 75/80 watt radio is not normally going to do that..... I walk right over the top of most radios all the time.. I know that because of years of experience with high watt radios. and I'm told all to often by someone that I'm walking on them or over them... oh well poo poo does happen out here in trucker paradise

 

A $20 Cobra 18 should have no problem being able to hear a strong station 30 miles away.
