All of Marten's trailers are railers, just like JR Schugel's and Stevens. If you look on the trailers, there's 4 steel lift points, those are for trains. Every single one can go on the rail.

If you go with Marten intermodal, make sure you check those wagons over pretty good for damage. ( Pmracing's video of J.B. creasing a Marten trailer comes to mind):biggrin_25513:

Pretty much all van and reefer road trailers can be piggy backed on trains anymore that is not my point though. My point is as far as actual intermodal goes using containers Marten is a nobody. Hell Prime with there reefers road trailers use the rail yards more then Marten does.

Yeah, Prime is a regular face now same with CR England. But when I see a Rhoel or Marten in a Chicago railyard, I picture them all white knuckled and scared out of their wits.

Some me times when I'm sitting I call other companies to get information then review it on here. That's one downfall I was thinking in that part of the industry. Every time I see the container on the trailer some of them are in bad shape. Easy Pickens for DOT I was thinking.

Look on the trailer. The rear will say JRSZ and the number and there are 4 steel "bars" for lift points. I used to work for Schugel back in 2006-2007 in Bethlehem, PA for intermodal.

They got out when flatbed went bust back in 2009 I think. lol remember talking to Brad and him saying they would never go to E-Logs. Lol. I was going to go back to work for them and used to stop in New Ulm to see old friends while I loaded at the butter place. Not 4 months later they were on e-logs! Lol. They are good people though.
