Isn't pay, time off and what expenses are paid and which are not questions a driver asks before hiring on with a company?

Here's a little more bad news about marten. Yep just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. Now they are taking back loads if an immediate reply is not sent with in a couple of minutes after viewing the load. So if ur a sleep and you don't hear the Qualcomm beep. Then the load that was sent to you. Is gone!!! And they kick you to the bottom of the list. And get to you when they get to you. This company is going down in flames. And they will try and say it's the drivers fault.

Now that I am thinking clearly. Marten blames the drivers for martens poor csa score. And not just the ones who have been working here for years. They blame the new hires as well. They also consider all drivers to be liars. They pretty much tell you that in orientation. Not a good way to start a job. Here's a little more about marten transport in a whole sense. Customers are getting up and walking away. That is due to the fact that marten is late everywhere they go. I have ran into more angry customers here then any where else. All the long loads are going on the rail. Many are dumped inside the trailer from the crane oporator loading it on the train. On top of being late. Heard a lot of complaining about that and finger pointing. So marten is running into problems. A lot of which can be fixed. But middle management would rather sit around a try and find away to blame the drivers. Then to come up with a real solution . Keep reading. Many o
f the driver Have been working here for a couple years or more. Are quiting over the no miles and Huge loss of income. So what is it like driving for marten now. You have to stand up to them all the time. They also state they never get the first chance. A good reason why. They will take advantage of it. Most drivers don't realize that they just picking on them. Bullying is what i call it. The main office is run by small town people. And most of them have never ventured out in the word. Or they wouldn't act like that. The future for marten is grim to say the least.

Ok so you are a glass half mty guy. But it is actually the other way around. They pay you more money per mile for shorter runs. Would you rather get the lower mile rate for all miles like many companies pay?

So what is your point? I have never seen a dp'r carrying his desk through the scalehouse or rolled over on the side of the road.
