I would imagine so. This is the only the first and second transcontinental run I've ever done. But I usually do well on long distance runs.

Best company I ever worked for. Great benefits and my weekly check was always a $100 on either side of $1,000. APU's and great trucks. I only left them due to medical issues.

Got another mileage maker-2700 miles from Pasco,Washington to Halifax,North Carolina! I was a day early on the previous load so my fleet manager had me drop it off at a holding yard(somebody else will take it the rest of the way).

Speed_Drums, Ooops and Crusader66 Thank this.

At the Tucker terminal getting a hotel voucher. Truck has gone to the Freightliner dealer for transmission issues. The shop is very busy installing side skirts on most of the newer trailers(no thanks to California's draconian rules-the company got hit with a $1000 fine recently). Oh well.

Agreed 100%! Couple months ago I tried to quit Marten. The road was getting to me and I was tired of sleeping in the truck. Within the same day they found me a local position. And now I work little over 9 hours a day, and sleep in my bed. And I have weekends off

You must be a good hand for them to want to keep you and find you something that fast. Funny how that works sometimes isn't it? Congrats!

That's what it's all about. I was with a company for 2 months, and most of my weeks were in the $400-$600 range...and it wasn't with one of the mega's either. I was regional, but still, if you're going to be out for 5-6 days, away from the house, the take home pay needs to be much better than that. My miles during that period, save for one week, were all in the 1,300-1,800 range.
