    ''Each one,teach one..''

I do my part to keep good people from getting involved with dirtbag outfits.Marten is a dirtbag outfit.I feel I would be just as bad as they are if I didn't tell the truth about MY EXPERIENCES with them.Your experience may vary, but apparently not by much..

As you can see by reading this thread, some people are just much better truckers than the rest of us.Their work ethic is clearly far superior to that of the average trucker who ''slacks off'' and simply delivers on time..

I throw the bs flag on a lot of that super trucker stuff.
What drivers are going to take your load the last few miles before delivery while you take off on another mega mile run? Also,no matter how persuasive you are, you aren't going to talk yourself into early deliveries all the time. I got one into the Walmart dc in Hurricane, UT 24 hr's early because I was a day off in my mind, the guard kind of laughed and let me drop it early because it was slow.
Mostly, in reefer freight, you are going to sit forever at one place after another, that's how it was for me.

No way? Do you mean to tell me that you're of those slacker truckers that waits until your appointment to deliver??

C'mon man, ain't you got the word? You got to show the boss how much you want to work.Merely delivering ontime just doesn't cut it anymore. Now you gotta haggle with re-scheduling appointments so that you can get busy on your next trip.No sitting for a supertrucker like you..

Yeah, I didn't have enough money to bribe all of the shippers, guards, dispatchers, lumpers and other truckers so I could run my own supertrucker schedule. LOL

While I was in orientation in Ontario, a damaged truck with a trailer attached was towed in. Apparently the driver had something happen and went off the road (I-10). He was still hospitalized when the damaged truck came in. I overheard the safety guy on the phone hollering at someone that if Marten didn't do the right thing by this guy, he would pay for the hotel out of his own pocket. I don't know what it was all about, but it sounded like they were throwing this driver to the wolves.

Sounds like a driver last co to me, it gave me second thoughts about what was I getting in to.
