I think they're pretty good to work for. I remember when they first announced the deal on Nemo. I remember they did the math and said that you would only have to save a little over $64 per week for the three year period to have the $10,000 balloon saved up.

New truck payment will run about 2100/mo. They dont maintain they're trucks that well in the winter, never wash them as far as Ive seen. We washed ours once a week even if it was snowing. Only got pulled into 1, CA, inspection in 4 yr.

OK, I talked to someone in recruiting this week, and she said that they no longer have their old lease purchase deal. They still had both for a while, but have done away with the old one, TRAC lease is all they have now. You have to qualify with US Bank first, which leaves me with the question that remains unanswered. If I qualify with the bank for the L/P deal, why wouldn't I just get a loan, and buy my own truck???:dontknow:

The heck with that. I would never buy a truck from a company, and then be locked into only hauling loads for them. It just gives them WAY too much control. All they have to do to get the truck back is give you the real lousy runs, and then you are out and the next sucker is in. Save your money and buy a truck with 1 easy payment. You can buy a decent truck to do whatever you want to do in the 15 to 20G range. If you can't save up 20G you either are in a bad situation that is beyond your control, or else you don't have the business money management skills needed to be a O/O. Either way it just isn't the right time in your life to become an O/O.

Ouch........ That was kinda what I told the guy who HAS a friend who started a trucking company and now has trucks running all over the place... ect.....

In fact this one guy wanted to still work his desk JOB and Manage the trucks after that????? Yeah... Ok...
I told him He needed to GET in the TRUCK and RUN it, or dont even reply to the post..... I showed him a good month of us pulling stepdeck and a few RGN run's and the figures where ( ok ) ...

By the time he reads the end he'll think im rolling in CASH..... Little does HE know I myself live a humble life, have a mortgage of $62,000 STILL paying on my wifes van and I myself bring home $500.00 WEEKLY.

I drive, and I also run the office and handle Escorting loads....

By no means do I wish to get RICH, I do what I do because I know it... I enjoy it.. And I was RAISED around it....

It's a SECURITY thing for me, plus when Im DEAD I know my SON will have ( something)... It may not be much... But it is something....

I have a little bit of an attitude when the upper class see's BIG MONEY in trucking... And knows #### about it... :biggrin_2551:

    All the best,
    Matthew
