I been in a few yards that say you have wear a mask and I just go in without one.Shunters all driving around with masks on looking like idiots but no one says a word to me,if they ever do I ll suggest they get the wrenches out cause I m leaving.
The only time i wear my mask while unloading is when im sweeping up fine particulate and said mask is a resporator. Some loads like crushed glass or coke dust arent things i want to breath in.
On customer property I follow their rules. I dislike wearing masks, especially after having to wear them all the time at work for over eight years when I worked in a foundry, but this just isn't the hill I'm gonna die on.
I have been known to die on small hills! My way or the highway. It is not my fault. I blame not having a Father. I ask God daily to use me as I am the best he can.
Iwo Jima and Hamburger Hill were small hill’s and very necessary for the free world during their time.
The feds exempt truckers driving alone. Not so with teams, but I haven't heard of any enforcement actions on teams yet.
But it's somewhat common. I see that craziness once in awhile. I also see guys doing a pretrip or something under the hood with a mask on. They are brainwashed as far as I'm concerned.
I'd bet a thousand bucks it's not a rule where @Mattflat362 delivered, otherwise the guy would have got his boss. He was bluffing, and got called on it. Just a forklift driver with a ####ty job, a superiority complex, and is poopy about having to wear a mask all day like some prisoner, so he tried to pass on some of that misery to a truck driver.
