good days then.

That particular one was not one of my places believe it or not. I knew of it, but what with the patterns of fueling and freighting it was just not one of the stops in my realm. The Boston market for either meat, produce or seafood offered enough diversions if one was so inclined.bzinger Thanks this.

Gene Murphy was the owner of Mass 10. He sold out before the place closed for good. Showers were always free and so was the bunkhouse. I have never been treated so well at Mass 10. And Gene Murphy hated four wheelers on his lot. He said that since he didnt sell gasoline or have a restaurant that a car had no business on the property. It was a truck stop for truck drivers.

That was him. Didn't he buy a truckstop down in Texas, possibly Laredo after that?
-
Not to my knowledge. He just disappeared.bzinger Thanks this.

OK,thought I remembered reading that in an old Overdrive back then.

At that intersection now are a couple of fast food joints and a 99 Restaurant and Pub across the street. That whole stretch of 20 used to have numerous truck friendly parking spots and businesses. It is totally the opposite now.
7-UP Thanks this. -
Used to be able to park at the 99 in shrewsbury up the road from Flynn’s, in the plaza, but that might of been ####ed up by the idiots by nowindiana pinetree Thanks this.
