Yeah, my "weekends" were from Thursday afternoon or maybe Friday am early to Saturday am as I had to be at my dedicated pickup by 10am which was 1.75 hours away not including time to wake up, dress, kiss the wife and kids goodby load the bike or P/U drive/ride to yard, load truck, cover bike hang up leathers if cold, hook to MY trailer, PTI and fuel or I would be late for my first of maybe 7-10 NYC drops that started on Monday at 3am or 7am depending on which way they were set up.

Yeah weekends are whatever you can get and forget certain days! #####, trucking is so hard! Can't live a 9-5, 5 day a week bankers life!Sometimes a 34 hour reset was a weekend and they want to get rid of that! Man you're going to go back to old school where if you get 24 at home as a weekend you were doing good! I think I'd be writing a letter to your reps and congress critters pleading for the 11/14 to stay as at least these companies found that 34 was a good thing!

But weekends are all dependent on freight, and the company.

And the OP is one of them...no matter what company, the things the OP complained about will be there. (and 95% of them are FAR worse than Maverick)

On a serious note, it doesn't look like did much research and knew what you were getting into...

Disclaimer: I don't work for Maverick...

I read his post 5 times... Can someone explain to me , what is the complaint. i been out 4 wks (by choice). Been by the house once in 4 weeks. The key word is otr, thats what it is over the road. We all have to make sacrifices in life. If you have to be home every weekend, i suggest change professions. Truckin is not for the weak!

Ya uh huh, glad to see you have it all figured out in 3 short years. Gotta love the newbies, always lookin for someone else to blame. It's the ole' "I'm sorry he did it" theory.
