Getting hung out is a part of the job. However, my opinion, Maverick is MORE than fair with the 800 mile pay. Just saying.

You should expect to get hung out from time to time. It is just part of the job. If you expect it, it will not crush you when it happens......all in the attitude!

There are times Im hung out every other week it seems. Then I'll go long stretches without missing any weekends. It evens out imho.

I talked to a Maverick driver and he said they run 68MPH. Is that true?

Sure, the trucks go 68. You won't run at 68 very often though if you want to get the bonus. All of our loads are supposedly planned at 48-50mph.

Etap figures the eta based on 48 miles per hour. My truck will go 68 and I do run it that fast if the speed limit is 70 and I just have to be there. Other than that I run between 57 and 59 depending on the terrain.

Yup, mine does 68, maybe a tiny smidge of a bit more, hardly ever go that fast unless I absolutely have to. Normally 57-58mph. Safer and more $$$$!!!
