been there, done that, had a can of soup and crackers and avoided the dolphin and sea turtle killing black balloons being released, "lordy lordy look who's 40" sign out front, black lollipops with the number 40 on them, etc parties normally thrown to celebrate the supposed 1/2 of my life being over party. Happy Birthday sir

Im sure Mavericks starting pay for experienced drivers such as yourself(7years) does suck in your opinion, and that is all you cared to share is your opinion by using one of your so far 6 posts. I'm sure the truck you drive is faster, better looking, longer nosed, less fuel efficient, and you make at least 20-30 percent more than anyone else on the road or who posts in here working for whomever you do using paper logs and actually working 90+ hours a week to achieve what most of us in here that have half the experience that you do, achieve in just a weeks work on electronic logs. Closest thing Maverick has to becoming "snider" (I assume you meant Schneider?) are the orange trucks they purchased for their sand division that when it was closed, the tractors were put up for sale and some were purchased by Mav IC drivers. Maverick does employ a number of persons who used to work at "snider" and seem to enjoy their positions here at Maverick. (I speak to two regularly that I know of). Ever work for Maverick sir/maam? Care to share your experience with them or whatever company your employed by now? (collecting state unemployment excluded) Just my opinions/assumptions based on your vague comment. Yes, fully aware when you assume things, you make an ### out of ume. Another opinion for you: I'd rather be a smart arse than a dumb arse ANYDAY!!! and a recommendation also: GO CRAWL BACK UNDER YOUR BRIDGE TROLL!!!

Cmon Sarge, don't let that jack wagon get you spun up. You already know all you need to know about him, just from reading his post. I dare say, he is one of THOSE drivers that double parks when there are still empty parking spots. Or, deposits his FULL pee bottle on the shoulder of the road. You know, "professional"stuff.

hope the new gig works out well for you n c rider.

Sarge is not wound up that's the way he is normally. LOLsarge26044 and Blind Dog Thank this.

Thanks! I think it will. I'm staying in my truck hopefully, and should be home every weekend and maybe a night or so during the week. It definitely looks promising!

Just like putting people in their proper place or suggesting to them where they belong. lolBlind Dog Thanks this.

When you get to NLR, be EARLY to everything. Participate at 120% AT ALL TIMES. SHOW THEM that you want to be their best student in that class. Be a model citizen- meaning do not engage in any conversation within any group that anyone could deem as disrespectful or degrading to anyone. Do not associate with that at all- because they are watching you and how you act. Trust me. If you are outside on a break and standing in a group and someone starts running their mouth in a bad way, leave the setting. You will hear it many times- STAY OFF THE GRASS! They mean it. Seriously. If it is 3am and nobody is around and you are walking around the terminal and decide to cut across the grass when you were told not to- then that is the kind of person that you are and the way that you have just demonstrated that when no one may be looking you are willing to cut corners. If you are ever caught in any way that demonstrates that you would be one to cut corners, you WILL BE SENT HOME so fast your head will spin. They WILL NOT TOLERATE someone who would cut corners and put people's safety on the line. Not talking about the grass here now, I am talking about when you are out on your own loading a 48000lb load of steel and you decided to cut corners and under-secure it. By cutting across the grass- you will have demonstrated to them that you would be that kind of driver. And you will have just earned a bus ticket home. You are on a two week long job interview while you are at NLR. Be an upstanding citizen and give it 120% at all times, and take extremely good notes all the way through- you WILL NEED THEM LATER! Good luck!!!
safrr and andrewrhyne1986 Thank this. -
eyes and ears open, mouth shut unless the question is relevant to the material at hand. KEEP OFF THE GRASS and no fishing in the pond or river flowing under the bridge.
