I really don't like fleet net. These ppl really don't give a crap. I had to fight with them for 2 hours to get a freaking hotel!!!!!!!!!!!! Now happy!
-
If they give you the runaround...let Maverick know.
A few weeks back they never got back to me on a motel...my FM called later just checking on things...I casually mentioned that Fleetnet left me hanging...10 minutes after we got of the phone, Fleetnet called and was in an EXTREMELY helpful mood.
The motel wasn't really important that particular time...I could have stayed in the truck...but that's not always the case.plentygood, Blind Dog and vhughes Thank this. -
Same here smh. Praying for a fast recovery.jxu417 Thanks this.

Dear God, last night was the worst shift I have ever had as a truck driver. Nearly everything that could go wrong did. Here's a quick rundown of the important plot points:
1. Shipper takes too long to load what was supposed to be a preloaded trailer. Tried to blame it on me, then on Maverick, but they stamped the bills with the time the load was finished so they screwed themselves. But it made me late to my first two stops.
2. First stop was a disaster. Simply by entering a very badly designed and maintained parking lot, my trailer now has moderate damage and my tractor minor damage. AND I DIDN'T COLLIDE WITH ANYTHING. This lot was so full of holes and had a VERY steep incline to it, the trailer actually twisted itself to badly it became damaged. Then, I damaged the driver side sleeper fairing when I jackknifed the trailer, because part of the gravel gave way and the truck started to tip over. I turned hard left and gassed it so as to face the tractor away from the incline, which stopped the rollover. Then, once I finally got into the dock, six cases of tomatoes were rotten and rejected, and they had obviously been rotten for awhile. 2,000 lbs of bananas had shifted during my near rollover, and we spent forever restacking those so they could be unloaded.
3. 3rd stop, more rejected product that was rotten.
4. Now at Walmart for the final stop. Completely out of hours.
To top all of that off, I just came back from 3 days of hometime to find that my Qualcomm says that I didn't get a 34 hour restart while home, even though I haven't had one since the new rules went into effect. No one knows why.
Ready to get this disaster of a day over with and go to bed. I knew I should've called in sick the moment I got this load...JimTheHut Thanks this. -
Geez... That sounds like an entertaining day Captain! Did you have the req'd 168 hours in since your last restart? Or, mayber you took off before 5am Little Rock time?? Hmmm.... Baffling....
JimTheHut Thanks this. -

With any luck, that WILL be the worst day of your driving career.
The good news is that it's over and you're able to write about it here.
Not that it will be all that hard, here's to tomorrow being a better day.
Be safe! -
Holy Spit! That was a bad. One reason too I say, "If you can eat it, I don't haul it".
