Hang in there jxu!!! There are days where we have to wonder if things could get any more difficult and screwed up. Been there and it's extremely frustrating. I think back to the phrase from Jeff the instructor when I called one time " what don't kill ya will make ya stronger"

Well my time as a Maverick may be coming to an end. I have had a terrible week. Left out Saturday night heading to Western Virgina. About 1.5 days drive but i just decided to leave early and sleep there the night before to have a fresh clock on Monday. Picked up my preload at the yard and took off. Hit a ramp for my first load check (no rest areas/ Truck stops in first 50 miles). Eased the truck over and at about 5 mph i dropped the steer tire off the pavement. Not usually a big deal but it was a 10" Drop and before I knew what happened the drives were in the ditch as well. Check the glass and there is no damage, shifted a bit but nothing serious. Trk and Trl are fine no damage but I had to drop the trl and pull the truck down the grassy shoulder to where I could get back up on the pavement. The outside tires on the trl are hanging over the edge and half of the landing gear pad is over the edge as well so i didn't want to risk hooking at an angle. Put in a breakdown macro and the tow truck came out and picked the front of the trl up and moved it over so i could re hook and be on my way.
Fast forward to today, on my next load in southwestern Georgia. 900 miles down here 3 miles from consignee making a left hand turn from a stop across a hwy. Take off in second grab third and start to turn then i hear the worst sound a glass hauler can hear. Glass hitting the ground. Lost Three packs on the front a frame passanger side. The 2 month old Roll-tite didn't even slow it down. From what i can tell between my last load check and where i lost the glass my polly-wog fell out (was a stepped load 84, 72, 48) and that let the v-board fall cause both straps were cut.
The city came and cleaned up the mess(no charge to maverick) and i received no tickets so the only harm is the glass and the tarpping system. I was able to get the trl road worthy so after i get unloaded in the morning i will take it 400 miles to Laurinburg. My fm was asking witch load i want for Monday so maybe I'm over reacting but it was a major screw up. However it happened. And the load i had for Monday was a preload with a drop and hook empty in dewitt ia. Talk about gravy. -
Hang in there Man. We have all had terrible weeks.

It'll be ok man dont stress over it I know a guy that turned his truck over and the next day he was hauling

How are they teaching you to secure the poly logs to the straps/glass these days?
The reason I ask is that I know a way that always worked for me, never had one fall out...but I'm not going to share it if it strays too far from company policy. -
The Poly logs ( in place of hanging bridge boards ) they are held in place only by the stap tension. What I'm talking about is a poly wog or a bridge. This was 3 layers of card board spacers because of the step down load. They were taped to the strap.
The thing I'm worried about is I would have secured it exactly the same way the dock worker had it secured. The only thing I could have done different was go slower. I was only going 5-7 mph though so I'm not sure what is going to happen moving forward.
