I thought the same. Shoot, maverick could have him be safety personnel there. He drove the central states dedicated division out of there twice. Once to test it, and once to fill in. Even though hes legally blind he'd still be able to inspect securements and tarping. AND a real nice cane to whack you with if you weren't doing it correctly. Lol.

It's all good. I didn't expect any extra points anyway...I always help Mavericks as well as drivers from every other company. All I want out of it is some good karma or juju or whatever you want to call it.

Yesterday, Friday, around 6pm with 2:15 remaining on my 14 clock (an hour away from home), I was set to leave AK in Middletown, OH. Started pulling out of the outbound lot to leave. When in pulled a buddy of mine in our division who I know had gotten put into a bad situation for his day as far as his loads/deliveries/and ability to do it all in time AND get all the way back to his home for the weekend. He was pulling in to get checked in/scale in with 3:15 left on his clock for the day-and lives 2:30 away. Even though I was completely done and was ready to literally pull out onto the road home, I pulled back around and parked my truck on the outbound side, got permission from AK/RMI Security to go back in with him as his "passenger", and helped him load and tarp. We busted it out in less than 15 minutes, and he got home last night without a log violation. Nobody was there to see me offer such a selfless deed, but it felt good to help out a fellow Maverick.

I think that helping a fellow driver get home on time is a great thing in itself. Even though no one was there to see it you will be rewarded on down the road two fold. What goes around comes around. In this case I hope it is something great. Even though you probably just wanted to help a fellow driver. Congrats.

I have seen people help one of their fellow drivers out and then that guy get up in his truck and drive off and not even a thank you. Now that is just sad.

Just wanted to pop in here and say thanks to all the guys at Ft. Smith who were awesome enough to help me with my shiny bar load. First one I've ever gotten and that includes when I was with my trainer. Thanks guys!

Boy you Maverick drivers sure frown a lot anymore lol. Every Mav Ive passed this week has looked p.o.'d lol. Hope that dont mean things are going down hill there. I see they are taking their sweet time with the new glass barn. I passed by today on my way out of Fordyce. Yard looked kinda empty to for a change. Ran out of new trucks finally I guess lol. Anywho just thought Id pop in and say hello. Dont forget to wave if you see me and my green machine!

If I remember correctly there is a bit of room to park overnight. But do yourself a favor and stop at the rest area on I-86 overlooking Lake Chautauqua, the view is amazing.
