Sometimes they can use the core and get them recapped. Sometimes it is a warranty issue...but it is also because drivers in the past have tried to scam maverick by working in cahouts with repair guys and ripping off Maverick. At least that is what I heard and I am sure it probably happened.

fuel & tires are a trucking companies 2 biggest expenses next to driver's pay. plus there's a dot # on each tire that has to be accounted for, that's another reason

Naw the dot# dont have to be accounted for,its just the core. They get huge discounts from bridgestone and michelin for returning all cores. If I buy a tire from Maverick I can get it for a lot less than buying straight from the TA. Its all these money saving tricks that allows Maverick to pay as well as they do.

what i was referring to was, the dot# doesn't have to be accounted for by the dot; it's a company thing is what i was actually referring to

Well after going home empty this weekend due to lack of freight and sitting all day monday for the same reason,Im finally loaded and headed to Kentucky then North Carolina. At least I covered my expenses plus a hundred or so for this week. I was worried this holiday was gonna goof me up this week. Still wish I hadnt been empty but thats the luck if the draw sometimes, especially in the St Louis and KC market areas.

So, the new 2012/13 trucks Maverick is getting have EOBR's on them? Anyone have any experience with them, do you feel safer driving with it? Not trying to start anything, I just know EOBR's are a big issue and just read the new Maverick trucks have them.
