Thanks for the info Seawheeler, I guess it just is what it is.
Long haul flat. Originally I was signed on as regional, but my recruiter said they were having a hard time getting Georgia boys home every week and asked if I'd change to long haul, so I did.
-
Coalheart, I would talk to my FM if I were you. That's kind of crappy what they did, but I guess you agreed to it. Don't let the situation fester until you quit over it. Although sometimes it seems like Maverick really doesn't care, they do. Maverick knows happy drivers are the most productive. You deserve to be both productive and happy! Good luck.
CoalHeart Thanks this. -
Seawheeler's right. You need to get with your fm because long haul flat gets 1day for every 7 on the road. Someone isnt trying very hard imho to get you home mt for a few days off.
CoalHeart Thanks this. -
Whats the difference between Longhaul flats and Regional?

During the time with a trainer is the truck run as a team or are both drivers up working and the trainer is in the passenger's seat helping/coaching/ mentoring the student driver?
-
Trainers are in the passenger seat at all times.
highspeed1972, MtDewMan and Blind Dog Thank this. -
I have it from an extremely reliable B.H. trainer resource, that if a Maverick trainer gets caught running his trainer truck as a "team", that he will be gone so fast his head will spin.
-
Trainers can, along with their students time, drive for 14 hours. The student drives his/hers 11hrs and the trainer can drive 3 hrs. That is the information from a few trainers I talked to while I was at Maverick.
-
What is the benefit (if any) to being a trainer then at Maverick?
