Boys before we get our panties in a bunch over the new bonus system. One thing I do know J.C. is a very smart person he looks at things at all the angles. I'm not trying to be a company cheerleader by any means. But having dealt with John over the years I have learned to have great respect for the way he looks at things before they are implemented.
If the new system sucks I will be the first man complaining to him about it. But I do believe in a performance-based pay system. There's no reason that a driver that has been here for two years as a top performer makes less than a poor performing driver that has been here for 10.
From what I have heard they have ran the numbers and top-performing drivers will get a pay increase. Maverick has always been a fair and honest company to work for. That is why I am still here and like I say every day I set a new record for staying at one company.
When they roll out the new system I will give you my honest and unbiased opinion.plentygood, jxu417, hesgoneagain and 2 others Thank this. -

Myself...I really like the idea of a performance based bonus....
I got a performance bonus from Schneider a few years back....$5,000, a performance bonus is the only bonus I've ever been able to get anywhere...seweran is right, drivers might as well give it the benefit of the doubt and see how they like the new system before getting all excited.
My guess is....good drivers will love it, lazy drivers will hate it.Evil_E, hesgoneagain, sewerman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Me being dedicated....it won't even apply to me.

No matter what they change it to, the performers will be compensated and like the MPG bonus, a driver doesn't have to get it. Stay above the company goal and keep your FMs happy and it'll be business as usual. As I stated earlier, if there's 6 criteria to be met for a 6 cent per mile increase for the following quarter and I only meet 4 of them, so be it. An extra 4 cents a mile on a paycheck such as the last two, mileage wise anyways, 1329 and 1898, would definitely be beneficial
sewerman Thanks this.
