yep only seen one OO wrapping the bundles and commented to him about it. He said a Maverick driver explained to him why Maverick wants you to wrap the bundles. Said it made sense to him and has been doing it like that ever since.

This is a day late and a dollar short, but FYI for future. You can come from the north, no reason to go all the way south to come north again. lol. You can exit onto getwell from 240 and ride it down to Crowfarn, it's not too bad and it's an easy turn. Make sure he turns onto crowfarn first, then basically a u-turn into their lot, and watch out for that big pothole around the corner to the door (put the trailer in that hole and turn towards the street to back into the door and you risk rolling the trailer, almost did this and needed a clean pair of pants afterwards, I'm still not sure why the trailer didn't roll completely over, but glad it didn't)

wow. A customer has actually outdone the "ideal loading situation" at logan aluminum. sounds like a real cluster and frustrating being told ever so politely to move his truck. As far as being cussed at, totally uncalled for and although the shippers and consignees are our customers i would remain as professional as possible when i asked to speak to the "gentlemans" supervisor.

If a driver were to use foul language towards a crane operator, forklift driver, security or safety person do you think they'd even get backed in to load or unload before they got a message on the qcom cause someone reported what they'd done to Maverick HQ? I'm not condoning rude behavior if on the receiving end of it but sounds like Mr "move your ##$ has a bit of a power trip and his behavior will continue unless reported.

Anyone who hasn't been to Logan aluminum before or lately, you are no longer allowed on top of the trailer for any reason. To eliminate the drivers getting on top of their trailers, once you are loaded, you pull out of the dock, around the corner to "fletcher, oklahoma tight" trailer high concrete ledges which allow you to spread your tarps without getting on top of your trailer. Good idea BUT (there's always a but and some stink more than others) in theory--spread your tarps then pull forward out from in between the concrete ledges so the next driver can spread his/her tarps and so on and so on. In actuality-- a line 4 trucks deep to get into the tarp spreading area and once their tarps were spread, the drivers stayed in between the ledges and bungeed down the tarps

Long story short, 5 trucks, me 5th in line, 1/2 hour tarp job took almost 3 hours, BUUUUUUUT......i didn't fall off the trailer, lol.

Wouldn't it be great if they had an electric sign upon entering the plants "Welcome to _ _ _ _ _ _. You're expected wait from this point is _ _ _ _ _" Have a great day!!!:biggrin_2556:

And yes of course you have required breaks, smoke breaks, lunch breaks, air brakes, jake brakes, lol, shift change, etc. but overlapping shifts so no post remains unmanned at any given time?!? What a concept!

But of course its probably cheaper to pay detention than it is to hire another person or two
