If u are more than 5 or 6 hours, fly yourself to lil rock. Maverick will pay u back the value of the bus ticket. Bus travel has gone to the birds.

I'm driving 750 miles from Wisconsin. They are paying me the cost if a bus ticket which ciders most of the gas one way.

Good luck to all you New Fellas! Focus very hard on the next several weeks. There WILL BE a few times after you go out on your own that you will need to refer back to lessons and notes from all of these classes that you are about to participate in.

yeah, but the instructors and driver trainers(well at least mine is) are awesome!!! our class was split into night and day shifts and i think everyone was comfortable with the basics of securement. i find it amazing that the employees are all unified in there mission. so many companies, driving or what have you, don't practice what they preach. maverick does. and everyone i have meet that works here does. proud to be here.

Meeting other Mav drivers on the road and at shipper locations always willing to help is awesome ! Backing into those tight flatbed docks is no joke !! Sheesh talk about being nervous lol

How long do you have to stay out with a trainer?

New drivers have to go with a trainer for a minimum of 21 days. They can stay with the trainer longer than 21 days though.

Drivers with 6+ months OTR are considered experienced and do not have to go with a trainer. Experienced drivers do have the option of going with a trainer if they want to. They are not required to go for the entire 21 days.

Im staying with my trainer as long as possible. Lots to learn and the first couple weeks we havent broken 1500 miles/wk due to a few unforseen circumstances :) I will tell ya I am sore after using 5 tarps on this recent load of shotgun slinkys..... Its a great workout for sure lol

Headed to Charleston SC tonight to deliver those.....Hopefully this week will be more active.
