Maverick is all about safety. As long as you call safety and tell them you are almost out of drive time and need to get to a "safe haven" before you run out of time, they will allow you to get to the next safe place to park. No harm no foul with the company. If you don't let them know and do it anyway they will slap points on you. Not sure how many. Never had that happen. Always called.

Once you get use to the e-log they are much easier then paper. Hubby still runs 640-660 miles on a "drive day" and 450-550 on days he loads and unloads. Depending on the wait at shipper/receiver.

Zephex, worry about getting to NLR Orientation, getting thru the Barn and Trainer Truck first. You will learn all of this stuff while you go thru the process. Stop worrying so much. You will be fine.

Yeah, he beat me to it. Don't worry about the things you CANNOT change dog. I have used paper logs. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE elogs! So much better than paper. Don't worry about cheating the system. You don't even work here, yet. Maverick will not allow you to cheat. There's not many Maverick drivers that cheat. Don't listen to these "outlaws" on here about cheating this and this. Those days are coming to an end, and I fully support the removal of cowboy attitudes. Just don't worry, relax. You'll be fine. If you WANT to cheat and cut corners, go drive somewhere else. Don't bring that cheating attitude to MY Maverick!
Good luck guy. You CAN do this.

So you're telling us that you go ahead and violate the HOS and trip the logs every single time a customer runs you off? If I can get to a safe place and not trip the logs, I'll do it, because I'm not paid to rack up a bunch of HOS violations. And it's not my fault that the customer won't let me park there.

I wasn't talking about you Captain. I consider you a part of this family. What your saying is NOT what I was saying.

I know that what I was saying is not what you were saying, because if I was saying what you were saying then I'd be you, and I'm not you, I'm me. Plus I know what I'm saying, I was there when I said it.

So what the hell were you saying...?
