There's a reason it was called "Headin' to the Dirty Side" (Back in the day, you had to go to Rube's AKA the Jersey City Truck Stop to get the full effect.)

The ultimate debate, Upstate vs Downstate... Most places downstate are a cesspool honestly.... And I was born and raised there

Do you get to southern WI much in the TCD division? There's a small ad in the local weekly paper for TCD that they're now hiring in my area. I haven't seen it before so maybe they picked up new business?

I've been to Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Green Bay several times, and they're really expanding the whole division. Doesn't surprise me at all.

I keep having this recurring dream that I have finally been accepted to orientation. Part of the physical endurance test for TCD, is running in the yard with a frozen 20 lb., Butterball Turkey held above the head. Sitting in a golf cart off to the right is a trainer calling cadance. Say it ain't so.

    RERM and jxu417 Thank this.

Nope. You have to climb up Mt. Maverick carrying the turkey. You are expected to know/keep the cadence, so the trainer doesn't have to waste his time.

just kidding. (About the turkey.) ;-)

just did the Tulsa/Edmonton run. Being deadheaded from Edmonton to Milbank, SD for reload Thursday going to Springfield MO. 2nd longest deadhead I've done. 1st longest w/Maverick. Longest deadhead I've had (when I drove 15 yrs ago): Ontario California to Athens GA for a load of cardboard going to Nashville TN!

Wow, that's very odd for us. They almost always have that load of peat moss out of that area going to Denver for the trip back. That long a deadhead is nice on your fuel mileage, though.

I just finished the Tulsa to Seattle/Vancouver run myself. Tomorrow I pick up in Idaho and take that load back to Hilti in Tulsa. Wouldn't be shocked to end up coming back this way again. Usually when I get this run I end up on a 4 week cycle of there and back (I stay out 4 weeks at a time my choice).

Wait until you do that Edmonton run in November. Dear Lord... 20 mph from Edmonton to the US border over solid ice. That'll put some hair on your ###, trust me.
