That's how Bush got a second term in office--people voting for the lesser of two evils. Got us real far. I'll refrain from voting this time to show I support neither, though I'd rather see Obama win isntead of McCain in the "lesser of two evils" situation. But if he plans to take my guns, it'll be from my cold, lifeless hands.

I sure wish Maverick didn't require drivers to be 23. I'd switch over in a heartbeat.

Yeah, but by not voting you are voting for the one who wins.... might be the worse of the 2 evils...:biggrin_2554:...

Been looking at a Teletype worldnav trucking gps, but figured if the Qualcomm was similar why waste the money. Are the worldnav's any good? Thanks!

I was wondering if you hit Louisiana sometimes. I'll bet I've seen a dozen or more Maverick rigs on I-12 within the past 2 days. Bet they're hauling alot of stuff due to Hurricane Gustav and Ike. Alot of construction and recovery going on in La. and Tex.

Yeah. I go into LA, not lately, but I run there quite a bit. I usaully end up going to the port in new orleans to get a coil after I drop there. Sometimes they bounce me empty to MS to load tho.

A GPS is good for ETA updates and turn by turn directions. Q comm won't do that. I always go by a atlas tho.

Sorry there Notarps, was makin a laugh at what appeared to be the already political part of the thread above.... Unless of course I was mistaken about that part of the topic of recent conversation, for which I'll concede.

I called Maverick and was told they don't do the cdl. You have to have that before they will accept you into their training program. Does that sound right? Maybe I am confused.
