notarps, the driver I was supposed to run with was unloading with me this morning (I help him, he helps me) and mentioned you guys are going to be cutting back on drivers in the new year. Any truth to this? He mentioned something like keeping 800 of the 1400.

any suggestions as to where we could go?? We both want the flatbed i'm more comfortable there and he enjoys it more. And i'd prefer to have him in the truck with me.

If you're experienced, I'm betting Roehl would jump all over a team flatbed couple. The thing is, with you not being married, they're likely to think you'll get sick of eachother and call it quits (with eachother and the company).

Not that I am aware of with the exception of they are letting drivers go who won't comply with fuel mileage. I have heard some drivers saying they were cutting back, but when I talked to someone at HQ awhile back they said the one's that keep getting in trouble and doing the same thing over and over again. I know they thinned the flock on drivers that was tearing stuff up as well. I don't know what situation is, but I have been driving long enough to know to listen to about half of what drivers tell me and to believe less than that.
