My mind is quite sound and I know exactly what I'm talking about. So does anyone else that picks up a truckstop rag or turns on XM. As I said it can't be denied
Best of luck to you!

Every one of the co's you mentioned to him advertises. Mav has a very low turnover compared to other co's. That is why I know your speaking of nothing you know.HoosierHunter Thanks this.
-
The only thing you are making crystal clear is how little you know about trucking.kebo072 Thanks this.
-
Johnny33, NoTarps is correct you are out of your flipping mind. You have no clue as to what you are saying. Maverick's turnover is somewhere around 75% and this is not due to their hiring practice's it is due to the numerous people like you and THD who think they can be a truck driver. There is a lot more to driving a truck than just driving. THD won't make it flatbeding no matter the company.
-
I never said they didn't advertise. I simply told him to go get his training at one of them. They are no better or worse than Maverick.
I'm not going to debate what I know with either you or Hoosier. I worked for them several years back and I do know. -
Now we have to stoop to personal attacks. At what point did I attack anyone working for Maverick? Funny, I manage to drive my truck without a vorad or automatic cruise control. I can even shift my own gears and do my own logs.
Gee, I sure hope someday I can be a Billy Bigrigger like you. Isn't it time to polish your belt buckle? -
-
Then you've probably got a cowboy hat too. I'm done with you Mav-bots.
-
That is good because it is obvious you do not know much. Let me guess. Your one of them that got let go?
-
johnnyr33,
Yeah...I've got a set of spurs (a few sets actually), but you see...they aren't just for looks either. I've got a cowboy hat too..but haven't wore it since my wedding.

So if you still think you can prove me to be a "wannabe"...go for it.
Its funny how some people can't stand it when others are successful. You see johnny, I have only worked for 3 companies...not because I can't get hired anywhere else, but because I have succeeded everywhere I've worked.
I started with Schneider Specialized and was with them for quite some time, then Maverick bought them...no real change for me, I still succeeded. I wanted to try my hand at what you are calling "cowboy truckin"...guess what, I succeeded there too. But fast trucks will get you speeding tickets, driving 14-16 hours everyday for 5 days straight will make you grow old quick (that even goes for the drivers who can safely do that), and its a headache...
So guess what...I'm back at Maverick and happy as can be. I don't plan on leaving again, at least not as long as my health holds out. All those years of breaking horses and mules, with a few of them breaking me in a place or two, have left me with a few "scars". I'm a bit banged up, but I'll keep getting back on as long as there is a breath left in me...that you can bet the farm on.Last edited: Jul 24, 2010
