Don't know how old you are but we have quite a few drivers in their 60's and a few in their 70's. All you have to do is be able to pass their agility's test which consists of lifting a lumber tarp onto the trailer, climbing in and out of the cab using 3 points of contact, doing 1 sit up, walking a beam, lifting a box with 75lbs to shoulder height, and a few more I don't remember ( getting old ).

It is not as bleak as NoTarps makes it out to be. It is a tough job and he is correct in a lot of his descriptions, however (though I thought I would) I have not lost any money or home time due to running legal you just have to do a little more trip planning and keep that left door closed. Just like Hoosier Hunter said, It's different but I think it is a whole lot better running legal. Hell I have even learned how to watch TV. even some nights I have my favorites I look forward to watching... Yes, you can't stop or piss around but I haven't made any less and I still have the same home time. You might get home Saturday instead of late Friday night. I am all for C S A 2010 . Hopefully it will get a lot of the ya-whoo's off the road. It's really not new regulations it's just keep track of the violations that drivers get. Run legal and don't worry about it.

I am 58, and my cane does not get in the way of tarping. It actually helps reaching the straps sometimes or pulling the tarp down.:biggrin_2559:

That is not getting old. That is the minds way of protecting you. It is like shock. Prevents pain by blocking a bad or traumatic experience......:biggrin_25523:

You can check the progress of your app online so you can see where you are in the process....time depends on how quick your past employers respond with the information.

I do not recall having to do any sittups...not that it would have been a problem.
