No tarps Thanks I checked Superior, but I lack experience and if a company quotes wanting , I usually let it be, unless they offer recent grad trainees as well.
I am going to check out 3 decent leads on local work, 2 with propane deliveries bobtail tanker, and 1 class B line haul local for air freight, But regardless I am calling Maverick and going to the next training they want to send me to, Unless 1 of those 3 gets their crap together and hires me. other wise I'll say gimme the tarps boys and free my soul

They do not bring you in there just to send you home. Based on what you provide them , they make a decision. If you are invited to orientation, it is your job to loose. In my class only one person was sent packing because it was evident that he did not have what it took.
If you go in there and pay attention, listen and not talk, show respect and a genuine interest. Do everything they ask you to do.
It is not rocket science and if you are mentally and physically able and have a positive mental attitude, you will succeed.
If those people had never been to Maverick orientation, there is no way they would know....just as I have no clue what goes on at TMC!

Just passed my 6 month anniversary and got a raise. I am now up to .41 cents a mile.
Not bad if you ask me!:biggrin_25522:

I'd be happy with that! Last road job I had I was only at .35 / mile. I do prefer the jobs that still pay percentage though, that's old school.

I have went that route as well. Bad economy is a bad time to % tho. At least at maverick I got paid the same for all miles. Empty or loaded. Bouncing 200- 300 miles stinks at 30 % of nothing. Especially when everyone is cutting throats by underbidding rates.:biggrin_25516:
