Dolly I cant say as Ive ever met you in my 8yrs here. Didnt even know we had a woman trainer. Maybe if you were running glass mostly thats why. I drive "one of those blue kenworths" lol.

And I drive an 06 old Schneider, pumpkin tractor, so I don't get recognized that often by the maroon trucks! Had gone through 4 maroon trucks before I got this pumpkin a little over a year ago, was the only one offered with a double bunk for training. Now on the warpath to get a new double bunk truck, my opinion is that if I'm gonna train, put me in an auto-shift, not the 10 speed I'm in. Think it's easier to teach mpg tricks in an auto, although reverse & forward is nicer in a 10 speed--no lag when accelerating!

dollylama Thanks this.

their only giving new trucks to the new guys...LOL!
dollylama Thanks this. -
dolly,
I'd trade trucks with you in a heartbeat...hell, I'd drive a pink Corn binder to get out of an auto-shift.
I just don't like em...dollylama Thanks this. -
They put me an 07. No new truck here. Not complaining though, works for me.

I really enjoy the 10 speed, don't get me wrong, but training a brand new driver would be alot easier with an auto-shift, especially when hauling glass. Turns at 4th gear seem to be hard for a new driver to grasp, to slow down & grab your gear BEFORE the turn is ideal. Seems like it was easier to do with auto, tho it still takes eyes & ears to auto-downshift.

They sent my application for approval. Does anyone Know what that consists of? I have read most of the threads here, but no one has said much about what goes on in orientation or any thing about the physical part. I have applied for the reefer division and would like more info plz.
