Maverick said that you can email your family from your truck, so do they supply the computer?

If you are still out with your trainer, he will probably try to get you home as well as himself. Just depends on if he is planning on being home and how close you live to him. Just have a delayed Christmas if you don't....You will arrive home in a Truck!

I think we have one or two in that area. But don't quote me on that.

Been reading some of your posts. I currently drive for another company. I have 3 months so far of flatbed exp. Not that happy with them at the moment. I live in the altanta metro area. Thinking of swithcing to maverick. What is ther average pay rate and tarp pay. If you had to summerize how they treat there drivers how would you rate them. Also, what do they consider weekends home? Is it worth coming home for your 34 every week or staying out longer.

How they treat us is with respect and like a professional! You choose your routes, fuel stops, when you start, when you stop....just get the freight there on time, within 10% out of route and shoot for 6.8 mpg which is easy to do.
They pay $10 for steel tarps and $20 for lumber tarps. Not that great, but adds up to a couple of thousand by the end of the year.
We have an excellent fuel bonus.
I have been with them for 1.5 years and I am at .42 a mile and have a weeks paid vacation. I get another .01 when year two starts, and an additional weeks paid vacation.
Trucks are excellent! Equipment is Excellent! Treatment is excellent!:yes2557:

They try to get us home or through the house every weekend. Usually for the 34 hr restart,,,,,sometimes longer...Just depends.
They have never failed to get me home when I have requested time off and have got me home when two family emergencies happened.
This is trucking and unpredictable things happen, but they realize that we have lives, families and they respect that!

    raetnrunner Thanks this.

And you bring a load home the majority of the time. Unlike companies who run you over 3-4 wks before sending you home empty causing a small or no check for the week yiu went home. Here your checks are steady.

Excellent point! Like when I deliver tomorrow, I will have 900 miles to start the week off.
