I am just waiting on my last employers paperwork to be sent into little rock and I will be on my way.
I am pretty nervous about how picky they can be.
Plus having two little ones at home i like the idea of their weekends home.
Any advice for someone about to head to Little Rock? -
Hi, I've finished Phase 1 training (flatbed) & phase 2 (Glass) and waiting for trainer. I can tell you this it's a drivers company. They care about you and your family hands down!
It's not a perfect world, but, Maverick comes pretty close. I'm not totally satified with thier health care but, it could be a lot worse. Wish they had matching 401k but again, they have one I can contribute to. Take the bad with all the good.
Starting flatbed I think is .38, I get .40 in glass. After 6 months of on my own....48/mile. Reefer is different too and not sure what that is but, not bad. You work hard you make money, be a slacker will you get what you deserve. -
Maveric has all automatics?
-
Yes they are all automatics. There might be a few '07s left but I dont think they are issuing them back out to anyone. The automatics are not real bad.
-

Let me clear this "starting pay" issue up. I've been solo with Maverick almost six months. I'm currently at .36 cpm and 25 tarp. I DO NOT pay out any insurance, etc and with the per diem credit, I bring home between 700 and 925 per week. In a couple of weeks ill get my big raise and I expect it to he bringing in 800 - 1000 per week. I'm regional flatbed home every weekend. Most of the time for 40 hours to 61 hrs. Sometimes only 24 hrs. Then I have to recap, long story on what that is.
Bottom line, Maverick has proven to be an excellent company. However, most important thing to remember is, you will WORK out here. This week I'm looking at 2700 miles (preplan) which included dropping and picking up everyday. If you are lazy, pull van.
Gotta be up at 3am, good nite folks!grusco, Danfromwindsor, ttownrunner and 6 others Thank this.
