I do not believe that they reimburse you for your fuel if you drive there but you might ask the recruiter they could give you a better answer.I know in my class the guy who drove his van there was upset because maverick expected him to drive the other trainees up to Newport and they where not reimbursing him.

About the training program .I am sure just like everyone else in this industry maverick is suffering through the high price of fuel .Combine that with the fact that a lot of people before you took mavericks training then failed to honor their commitment for that training and the fact that winter is a slow time of year for flat-bedders probably made maverick decide to pull the plug on training drivers for now.But I would suspect that come spring when freight picks up and if fuel balances out they would resume their training program.Of course this all a guess on my part but I think that is what is going on.Later:iroc:

I doubt they would reimburs but I thought I would ask. So hows life on the road I was reading your thread of when you went through school and orientation and when you started driving that was a great idea and sure was informational. So the gps has been a big help I thought about getting the co pilot for truckers it seems good I just dont like the idea of running it from a laptop.

The recruiter told me it was because The long wait was getting out of hand, but I'm sure it was everything u said also that factored into it.

Winterhawk yo ushould see if your state has the workforce investment act. Thats what I used to go to school they paid me 10 a day to go and are gonna give me $500 bucks in gas cards it is the best thing that could have happened and they like to get people for truck driving.
