It is picking up right now. I have been needing it too. The run I am on right is 1314 miles. I had been running 800-1400 mile runs then it dropped to 300-600 mile runs. Summertime we beg for a break, winter time we want to see some miles.

How long ya been running with Mav and what kind of average miles you getting from week to week even when it is slow. Thanks Gunner P.S I really enjoy all the great incite you give for us Newbies.

I have been with them 8 months. I can run over 3000 on some weeks. Their avg is about 2400-2800. Plus tarping. My avg had been rough here lately, but most drivers seemed to be running decent. My last trailer swap was the only decent swap I have had lately. The 4 before that I lost a day running a week getting someone else's problem fixed. I had a bout there for awhile with a black cloud chasing me. Between 2 truck break downs and getting my truck serviced and getting snowed in, you name it, it happened to me there for awhile. Plus I went into the hospital and took a week off. Hopefully this week will pan out. I know I am ready for it. I have a friend that lives near me and he has been running pretty good, so I know it is just me here lately. Things like this happen in trucking. It is just part of it.

WOW you are running with the black cloud..........but i'm sure the suns about to shine........Good Luck

Thanks, but I think I just hit a snag again. A buddy of mine from the same area is running the same run I am on. His pick up time was 8am till noon today. Mine is 8pm till midnite. He just called me. He has been there since 8 am this morning and still is not loaded.

So how often do ya spend waiting on loads........i know thats a tough question...seems to cut in to the check for sure........
-
Most of the time I don't wait. I send an empty call and roll, unless we are in TX. Freight is slow out of there for us. Here lately I have had to wait some. Most of it depends on the shipper. Last monday I got an extra 88 bucks waiting on a farmer to get a hay load on me.

HAY........Man so if you can stap it down you pull it.?

I never know what they will put on me!
Life of a flatbedder.
I gotta roll, take care!
