TMC doesn't get paid unless they're loaded thus you don't get paid a percentage of anything if TMC isn't getting paid.
Miles pays the same loaded or empty.
No way I'd do miles though, no way.. experienced drivers start at .37 CPM and go to .38AFTER one year.
    That's a joke.
I'm making over .40CPM doing van with less than a 1 experience.

tmc pays only loaded, but the average per all miles is .48 if on the % pay. They also pay .20/mile for any bouce over 150 miles.

Hey wipper, what about your guys' flat bed division? I don't like their equipment, but the guys seem to be pretty happy. Have you looked into them? And warrant, have you figured out your moves yet?

Flatbed here pays .02CPM LESS than Reefer and .01CPM less than Dry Van... believe it or not.

Still they start at .42CPM but is it worth it when you can make the same doing Van?

I looked into Crete a while ago when I was making garbage at my last company and have been here about 4 months now on the reefer side.
I came here with 7 month experience and I'm at .43CPM, in another month or two it goes to .44CPM.. I think they start people a penny less with less than a year experience.
When I originally got into trucking I wanted to do flatbed but realized WHY should I do all that extra work and have all that extra responsibility and not be paid more for it?
So I've done Van and Reefer because it pretty much pays the same.

Yes the trucks here are ugly and cheap, I do not like them.
However it's better than being paid less to pay for a someone else's nice truck.
Less than a year experience and I'm at .43CPM, where else can I earn that amount? nowhere I know of.
Miles have been fine, a lot of Northeast though.

That is a pretty good rate. They always advertise it, and I've never really heard from any of their drivers. If you're making money, that's what REALLY counts. Equipment comes and goes.

Yes they always advertise it because they know it's pretty much higher than everybody else.
You don't see England, USA truck, Werner blasting their pay all around, that's because it's a downside of working there.
The money aspect has been even better than I thought it would be here as far as miles goes.
Extra stop pay is $30 and dispatch under 200 miles pays more also, up to $35 extra for under 125 miles I believe. Personal Health insurance is $25 weekly off your check,
The trucks aren't old, just cheap basic plastic garbage lol.

    Is it perfect? No.
For OTR I think it's the best of the worst.
Sure I'd like to work for a smaller company where I'm not a number and drive a Kenworth.. but not for no 10CPM less.
That's what it really comes down to, at least from my research.

Flatbed at other companies pays more....just because creete doesnt pay more, doent mean you cant make more money with flatbed. TMC has nice trucks and great pay

I'm talking CPM wise, in CPM world it is the case.
Where at in flatbed with 1 year experience can you make a lot more than averaging $1200 a week?
Specialty hauling sure but that's a whole new ballgame

TMC offers % pay which is difficult to figure a comparison.
In flatbed world TMC is good but the pay doesn't blow me away from what I've seen and heard.

    Here's one some such example:

It's possible to make that with Crete pulling a Van
